Christmas

Christmas this year was so much fun. We went to Leon's the afternoon of Christmas Eve and hung out. Lacey and Russ ended up coming down and spending the night there too. Santa came and visited the little kids that evening to tell them he would be back to leave them there presents. Mylee hated him. He tickled her for heavens sake. But anyways, we woke up Christmas morning and to our surprise Santa had come and left a whole bunch of toys. Mylee got a barn, fences, and farm animals. She loved it. All she wanted from Ho Ho was a Cow and Gucky (lucky, the horse). So she got that plus more. It was fun to see how she reacted to it. She kept telling me that Ho Ho was nice to my my and he brought her a cow. She was very excited. Then about noon Misty and Turley came over and she got to go for a ride with Teque on his new Bike. It was the cutest thing ever. Then Tammy and bingham came right before we left to go to the cabin. But we got up to the cabin around 5 that night. My whole family was up there but Annie who we didn't get to see this Christmas. It was fun. We had a good Christmas dinner up there and played games. Jon stayed up until 2 in the morning playing cards with my parents & cozy and Joel only so he could beat Cozy in the game they were playing. She was getting extremely pissed off about the situation. He loved every minute of it. But we spent all day Saturday playing games and the boys and men riding the snow mobiles. It was fun. Jon got his usual scavenger hunt from me to get his gift. It was fun. We came home Saturday night. It was a good Christmas season this year and we are thankful for all of our many blessings. Thanks to Everyone for everything they do and have done for us.

My Birthday!!

My birthday was the day after we spoke in Church. I went to work that morning and then came home. All Mylee wanted to do was paint my fingers and toes and so that is what my birthday present from her. As you can tell, she did a FANTASTIC job. I love you sissy and thank you!!

You better Sit Down!!

Yes you better sit down to read this little paragraph. So the end of November, i went to tithing settlement but went by myself cause Jon was still helping Rawlin. So i get there and we get tithing settlement all out of the way and my Bishop says, So can i ask you a favor? I said sure. He said, so can we give you a new church calling, will you be willing to get released from primary and serve in the Young Women's presidency? I said yes i guess. Then he said, oh I wish Jon was here to ask this next favor. Will you guys talk in Church on December 13Th. I started laughing. I told him i would but i told him there was no way in Heck that he was going to get Jon to say yes. I told him i wasn't asking him for him, that he had to be the one to ask him. Well i show up to church that next Sunday and Bishop stops me in the hallway and says, Hey i got him to say yes. I about pooped my pants. Well about Wednesday Jon comes to me and says, will you get me Bishops number. I said sure and gave it to him. The next thing i know he is on the phone with Bishop telling him he is backing out and that he hasn't been able to sleep the previous 2 nights and that his stomach has been hurting him just thinking about it. Well to no surprise by my Bishop, he didn't get out of it. We talked in Church and Jon didn't pass out. I was very happy with him and how good of job he did.

My DREAMS came TRUE!!!!

ok so yesterday was the BEST day of my life. Jon & I were sealed in the Temple and then we had Mylee sealed to us. We went up the night before and stayed the night in Ephraim. It was fun to spend that time with my family since we don't do it very often. Mylee loved it. Then we got up Saturday morning and got ready....leaving Mylee with Cozy until later. But let me tell you how AWESOME the experience was. I am so thankful for Jon and for his good example he is to me and Mylee. It has been so wonderful seeing him grow in the church and have the spirit with him. It was very hard to fight the emotions i was feeling yesterday in the temple when you could feel very STRONGLY Nancy's spirit there as we were sealed. When they brought Mylee into our sealing room, i lost it. I couldn't hold back my tears anymore. She looked so BEAUTIFUL in her white dress and as she stood at the alter with us. It was an AMAZING experience and i cannot wait for the day that i get to go and share that same experience with my sister Cozy when they choose to make that step in life. I also want to publicly thank everyone that came and supported us. I know i made you all drive further away to do it in the temple of my dreams, but hey, it only happens once and i have always loved that temple. Thanks for the examples you have all been in mine and Jon's life. We love you all and thanks for sharing our beautiful day with us.

Mylee's 2nd BIRTHDAY!!

So i have been quite the slacker about updating my blog. So i am finally getting around to Mylee's birthday. She turned 2 on November 9th. We had her birthday party on sunday the 8th. She had a lot of fun playing with all her cousins. She got a lot of presents. She loved blowing out her candles which was a lot different than last year when she cried if she seen her cake. On her birthday after i got off work we went home and she seen her cake and wanted to blow out candles again. We ended up blowing them out 7 different times throughout the day. It was quite funny. But i can't believe that she is all ready 2.

So i am so tired of her crying when i comb her hair so we decided to trim it. Emilee did a great job!! thanks and it looks really cute.

DI Dress Up Finds

So for any of you that doesn't know....We call my mom the DI QUEEN...But if it was up to me - Cozy would top her and be the DI Queen. Every time we go to town we have to stop at the DI. Well this last time we stopped I bought this suitcase full of princess dress up clothes and shoes. Mylee loves wearing my shoes so of course she loves the ones in here cause they clunk on the floor. What a princess she is.

New Baby

So i guess i better fess up that we are expecting #2 since i can't really hide it anymore. I am a little over 12 weeks along...due March 24. Jon and I are fighting over finding out what we are having. We didn't find out with Mylee which was really fun, but I really want to find out with this one but of course, Jon doesn't. So i guess next month we will see who wins that argument...(probably Jon) But we are excited and can't wait. Mylee loves having a Baby Ah Ah (Monkey) in my belly. She totally thinks i have a monkey in my belly because we were looking at pictures of her at the hospital right after she was born and she thought it was a monkey. So cute how she thinks that. I am a little nervous how she is going to react having another baby in the house competeing against being da da's girl. I guess we will see what she does.

Well i finally decided to update the blog...so you are getting aug and some of sept fun that we had. We went camping with Turley and misty and Dana & karol opening weekend of the deer hunt and camped for 10 days. It was a blast. Mylee loved every minute of it especially because her favorite...Teque...was there. She would live at aunt Misty's if i would let her. The picture of Jon and her with the spike elk is actually Turleys elk. Thanks for such a fun time..

Well I am getting worse and worse at updating my blog. A lot has happened since i last updated. Annie got to come out for the 24th of July and stay the whole next week after until Trav's big day on Aug 1st which is when he took meg to the temple to be sealed for time and all eternity. I am so excited for him. I am also so PROUD of him. Here is a picture of Mylee and her Uncle BUB!! They had a dance after the reception and all she wanted to do was dance with Bub. But I will try and get more pics of the week annie was here.

"Why the Background?" AGAIN!!

Ok, so many of you are probably wondering why i chose this background again. I did a post last june of 2008 with this background stating that i had goals to go to the temple and be sealed to Jon for Eternity and have Mylee sealed to us. Well i chose the background again because GUESS WHAT??!! MY DREAMS ARE COMING TRUE!!! We have chosen Nov 21, 2009 to be sealed together. We are going to be sealed in the Manti temple but i couldn't find a background with that Temple. I just wanted you all to know how happy I am that Jon has chosen to change his life and make us an Eternal Family. I am thankful for him and for all that he has done and does for me and Mylee. We love him very much and I know that Nancy is VERY PROUD of you Jon. Her presence is going to be so strong in the Temple when we get to go...I can't wait. I am also thankful for the Savior and for his atoning sacrifice, for Him making it possible that we can repent and live with him again. I love you Mylee and Jonny and i don't know what i would do without either of you.

My New BIKE!!

Here is my new bike....I am SOOOO excited. I have been wanting a bike forever, now we just need one for jonny and a trailer for mylee.

Mylee's Ride with Bompa

So last Thursday, Mylee got in trouble because she went downstairs at my moms and got into Cozy's nail table and so i got after her and she started crying...Well while she was crying, My dad called my mom to ask her a question and heard Mylee crying. So he told my mom to bring her down to the farm and he would give her a ride while he was planting hay. So we went out to Marv's and got him a shake and took it down so Mylee could ride. She loved it. There was a little seat with a seatbelt right next to his that was just her size. She thought she was quite a big girl. I took a trip around the pivot and back and then my mom switched me off and went a turn with them. Thanks Dad for taking her....SHE LOVED IT!!!

I wan ooouuut!!

So i was in the other room when i heard Mylee giggling while she was playing in her room. Then a couple minutes later i hear her say, "I wan ooouuut!" So I went in there and she was in her doll stroller sucking her doll plug. It was so hilarious. I started laughing and then she laughed thinking it was more funny than what she orginally thought. Oh Mylee, how you are growing up so fast. I love you Sissy!!

Jons big BEAR hunt!!

Well we just got back from 9 days of camping...Jon drew a bear tag over to the La Sal Mountains by Moab. We had Sara's high school graduation last friday and we all headed to Moab right after. We got there about 2 in the morning, rained on us the whole way over. When we arrived we tried pulling down into camp and got stuck in the mud. It took us an hour to get unstuck and finally we crawled into bed around 3. I told jon that i wasn't going to go when they got up at 5:30 that i wanted to stay at camp and get things situated. Well little did i know that he was going to KILL his bear the morning we got there. But i thought that he would have at least came and got me and mylee. But anyways, it weighed about 350 - 400 lbs. Huge bear...GOOD JOB JONNY!!! we are proud of you. So the rest of the camp we just relaxed. All of jons family came after graduation and all left monday afternoon but leon and russ and his family. sara stayed home since she thought she was old now and can do what ever she wants. But it was nice to have the rest of the family there to spend some quality time together and have fun. Wished some of my family could have come and supported us but oh wells. It was fun and i don't want to come home and back to reality. Thanks for the good time everyone....we love you all.

Happy Be-lated Mothers Day!!

OK, so no pictures on this post, but i just wanted to wish all the moms in the WHOLE world a happy mothers day and to tell my mom that i love her and I appreciate EVERYTHING she does for me and my family. We couldn't do it without her. I love being a mom to Mylee...it is a very fun. I learn new things every day and there are a lot of "things i will do different with my next one". But I love the sweet but naughty little girl she is.. she is now 18 months old. Growing so big and so fast. It makes me sad to think she will no longer be my baby...she is growing to be a little girl. I love her with all my heart and I hope she knows that. I have to give a big thanks to Cozy for all the late night calls with "Cozy, what should i do about this?" She has saved my life a million times and has been there to answer all my first time mom questions. Thanks cozy, your AWESOME. Then i have to say how SAD i am that Mylee's other Grandma is not here with us. We miss her SO much and love her. I keep telling Jon that the reason Mylee is so naughty is because Nancy told her up in heaven that she needed to come down her and punish jon for all the times he was a little poop head, but then i think, why would she punish me for it twice (Jon & Mylee) ha ha. But i love you Nancy and we miss you tremendously. Thanks to all the moms in the world.

So Misty and Rhonda talked me into doing a 5k walk/run for research for ALS. I was quite nervous. I am EXTREMELY out of shape. We were supposed to be there at 8:00, which the race started at 8:30am. So we left at like 6:45am. Good thing because we got lost. We drove around and drove around and finally found it like 15 minutes before it started. Sara decided at the last minute to go online and register and come with us, but she is a retard and forgot her inhaler. The first part of it was all down hill and the last was all up hill. Once we started we decided to run the downhill part. After running a little bit, Sara started to have troubles breathing. So i kept walking faster and got a head of them all little bit. Then i decided that i was just going to run what i could, so i was kind of rude and ran most of it. My goal was 40 minutes...DONT LAUGH!!! I had know idea if that was good or bad, but i figured it was good for me because i have never done one of these before. I finished 40:18....i almost did my goal. Misty and Sara ended up quitting a little bit before half way, and rhonda finished. I am sure Nancy was looking down laughing her guts out but we did it for you mom!! But after the race, we decided to a little shopping. Cozy met us down there. We were about half way through the day and we went to Target. I learned a very valuable and expensive lesson. Mylee fell out of the shopping cart and landed on her head. I ran and picked her up and checked her pupils. She then started puking...so i told Cozy that we needed to go the emergency room because that was one of the first signs of a concussion. We get there and they checked her over...they decided not to do a cat scan on her. she just had a big bump on her head. So without insurance, that is going to be quite the bill.

Loving 80 Degree Weather!!

No pictures for this blog, but just wanted to let you all know that i am loving life right now in Tuscon visiting Annie. 80 degree weather and you guys have SNOW!!! Ha Ha. We left Enterprise on Thursday at 12:10 AM and drove all night ariving in Tuscon around 10:30 am. We didn't tell Annie we were coming, we just showed up to her work and surprised her. It was AWESOME. My My misses her daddy and Papa. She wakes up everymorning and started yelling for her Daddy. She did get to talk to Papa last night and thought she was pretty cool. But for the bad news of the trip, Papa called me yesterday morning and said that Grandpa Gardner went to heaven. It is such a blessing that he doesn't have to suffer anymore, but we will sure miss him. After I told Carter that he had died, he asked me, "Well Jessie, who came to pick grandpa Gardner up?" I told him Jonny's Mama did and then he says, "Well what did they drive to Heaven?" I started laughing...I thought that was so cute. Kids are so innocent when it comes to things like that. But i better go, I will post pictures of the trip when we get back home. We are leaving for the ZOO!!! Mylee can't wait to see the MONKEYS! Sorry for the SNOW for the rest of ya!!!

Well here is a 3 generation picture...wish mom was here so she could be in it.

Well as some of you might know, Grandpa Gardner is on his last days. He has failing kidneys and Bone Cancer that is in later stages than what they expected. We went there last Sunday and he was in good spirits, being his normal self. He was complaining about a stiff neck and said he was in a little bit of pain. Mylee was being naughty and kept getting his phone and trying to call Papa and so i went and got her and told her no no and she stuck her tongue out at me and ran off. Grandpa started laughing and couldn't stop. I told him she was acting just like a Gardner. He commented that he was so happy that she made him laugh. He loves when the Great Grand kids come over. But anyways, they ended up taking him to the doctor on Monday and they gave him a morphine patch, and things haven't been great since. Last Sunday was his last day since he was himself. We went there last night and he just slept and wasn't really coherent. But when we went there today, he was awake and just smiling. He tried getting Mylee to come over to him, but she wouldn't because she don't really like him. I think she is just scared of him. He said he was thirsty and they got him water, but he wanted what was in Chana's fountain Pepsi Cup. So we poured him some Pepsi. But as we were leaving we told Mylee to wave to Grandpa and tell him Goodbye and she wanted to kiss him. That just made Grandpas day. I am so Happy that he was coherent and that Mylee kissed him because that is probably the last kiss she will get before he gets to go see Grandma Platt up in heaven. I am so thankful for family and the time we have got to spend with grandpa. He has changed so much since Grandma died. I am very proud of you Grandpa!

Sleepover Time!!

Last week Jay wanted to have a sleepover after she danced at the basketball game. She loves sleeping over and we love having her. Her favorite thing to do is pick out a movie to watch and pop popcorn and mix peanut M&M's in. She is such a good little helper when it comes to picking toys up and being Mother Hen to Mylee. We always have to cook French Toast when we get up the next morning. It was fun and Mylee can't wait until the next one.
