Shark Museum & Air Show

The first weekend in November we took a trip to Vegas to spend the night. We took Jace and Carter with us. Turley, Misty, their kids, and Karol & Dana went also. We left Friday afternoon after Jon got home from work. We went down to Mandalay Bay to see the sharks which the kids EXTREMELY loved. They got to see Alligators, sharks, lion fish, sea turtles, stinging Rays, star fish, octopus, and much more. Mylee was scared of the alligator. She thought it could get out of the glass cage and get her. After we got done there we went to Circus Circus and let the kids ride all the rides. They had way to much fun. Then we headed to Chana's to spend the night. Her and Casey weren't there but they were so kind to let us sleep there. The next morning we got up and headed for the air show. Nancy wasn't too fond of it cause the loud planes breaking the sound barrier. Mylee liked it for about the first couple of hours and then got tired. The Boys loved it. After that we headed home. It was a fun little family trip.

HORRIBLE!!

Ok so i am horrible at blogging. i keep telling cozy to just blog for me, but to no surprise she tells me NO. So here i am blogging but i have no pictures with me. Not much has happened with the family since the horrible friday the 13th week. Mylee's forehead is getting better. Nancy is getting big. She has such the cute personality. Mylee turns 3 in 3 1/2 weeks. It makes me so sad how fast they grow up. She gets to go to pre-school starting on her birthday and that makes me REAL sad to think she is that big. Jon has just been working non stop. I love him and appreciate his hard work. I have officially went back to work at the store. It was a nice 5 1/2 months off but school had to start and i didn't have the school kids to cover my shift anymore. I did drop all my afternoon so i only work 3 mornings a week. So its not too bad. we are all doing good and can't complain about life.

Friday the 13th!!!

So on Friday August 13th, i woke up and thought to myself- this is NOT going to be a bad day. (little did i know what kind of events would happen in the next week) My mom and annie were on their way driving to Utah so annie could stay a week with us. Well as the day progressed, Nancy started to be more fussy and wouldn't drink her bottle. So i ended up taking her in to the doctor and she had 2 ear infections. Well i thought, that aint to bad. Well that night mylee started to get sick and running a fever. She had no other symptons other than a fever. She fevered all night and into saturday. I had a family reunion and after we got done with it i threw a surprise baby shower for my sister cozy. Well that night mylee was still running a fever. Jon and my dad ended up giving her a blessing. Not but 10 minutes after they gave her a blessing, she jumped off my lap and said, "mama, i no sick. i better" Well sunday was stake conference for our stake. We didn't go to church and stayed home with all my family and visited. Well about 5pm is when it all started. Jon was swinging carter out on the tire swing and mylee was out there. She pushed the empty wooden swing and it went and hit carter in the ear and came back and wiped her out. It hit her in the forehead and split it open to the skull. So here is the over view of the week to follow:
Friday, the 13th - nancy double ear infection; mylee fevering
Saturday, the 14th - family reunion; surprise baby shower for cozy; mylee fevering; priesthood blessing for her;
Sunday, the 15th - stake conference; mylee hit in the head; 10 stitches
Monday, the 16th - sore forehead; mylee fevering again; doctor appt.= step throat;
Tuesday, the 17th - annie's birthday; mylee swollen face; doctor appt= possible skull fracture or tissues draining
Wednesday, the 18th - doctor appt = forehead looks better,no skull fracture
Thursday, the 19th - NO DOCTOR APPT;
Friday, the 20th - Doctor appt= took 5 stitches out
Saturday, the 21st - Relaxed and cleaned house
Sunday, the 22nd - Annie went home
Monday, the 23rd - Doctor appt= took remaining 5 stitches out.

Mylee's new hair cut!!!

So i got Mylee in the tub and we went through the usual process of her crying and fighting me to not wash her hair cause it hurts. We go through this when we comb it too. So i decided right then that we were chopping her hair off for the summer. Jon was working nights and so i decided i would take it upon myself to just do it without asking him...BIG MISTAKE. He freaked. He LOVES the new haircut but he HATES how it makes her look older.

Special Weekend!!

I had the most AMAZING weekend (2 weekends ago) in a LONG time. Me and ALL of my old high school friends got together Friday night. I hadn't seen or talked to more than half of them since graduation. It was so good to see all of them. Mylee went to Meg and Trav's for the night (thanks). We met at the Temple and had one of Tiff's friends come and take our pictures. Then we went and did Sealings. It was an AWESOME experience. We were the "daughters" getting to sealed to their parents. They split the 9 of us into 3 groups. The couple that my group was with said they didn't have any daughters, only boys so they were glad we showed up the same time they did - so they could have "daughters". Afterwards we went to Applebees to eat dinner. Then Kari has as AWESOME uncle that hooked us up with some rooms at the Marriott Hotel. We stayed up past 1 in the morning catching up on every one's lives. Woke up Saturday morning and all of us departed our own ways with some of them driving 13 hours back home. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful experience since that was probably the last time we will all be together again:( Especially thanks for the few that drove so long just for the one night so we could get together. I appreciate all of you and for the great examples you have been throughout my life. You guys are WONDERFUL!!!

1st Fishing Trip of the Year

We didn't do much for Memorial Weekend. Sunday we just went for a ride after church. Monday we woke up and went to Jon's Dads house. We did a whole bunch of yard work, planted the garden and Then went out to the cemetery to put flowers on Jon's moms Grave. After that we met Cozy and Joel up to the Newcastle Reservoir and went fishing. Mylee caught the first fish. It was a lot of fun.

Nancy's Baby Blessing

Yes i know i am bad at blogging...here are some updates. We blessed Nancy on May's Fast Sunday. Jon was EXTREMELY nervous but did an AWESOME job. I am so proud of him. Nancy looked so beautiful. Her dress, booties, and bonnet was made by my Aunt Patsy who put many hours into making it.
