Special Weekend!!

I had the most AMAZING weekend (2 weekends ago) in a LONG time. Me and ALL of my old high school friends got together Friday night. I hadn't seen or talked to more than half of them since graduation. It was so good to see all of them. Mylee went to Meg and Trav's for the night (thanks). We met at the Temple and had one of Tiff's friends come and take our pictures. Then we went and did Sealings. It was an AWESOME experience. We were the "daughters" getting to sealed to their parents. They split the 9 of us into 3 groups. The couple that my group was with said they didn't have any daughters, only boys so they were glad we showed up the same time they did - so they could have "daughters". Afterwards we went to Applebees to eat dinner. Then Kari has as AWESOME uncle that hooked us up with some rooms at the Marriott Hotel. We stayed up past 1 in the morning catching up on every one's lives. Woke up Saturday morning and all of us departed our own ways with some of them driving 13 hours back home. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful experience since that was probably the last time we will all be together again:( Especially thanks for the few that drove so long just for the one night so we could get together. I appreciate all of you and for the great examples you have been throughout my life. You guys are WONDERFUL!!!

1st Fishing Trip of the Year

We didn't do much for Memorial Weekend. Sunday we just went for a ride after church. Monday we woke up and went to Jon's Dads house. We did a whole bunch of yard work, planted the garden and Then went out to the cemetery to put flowers on Jon's moms Grave. After that we met Cozy and Joel up to the Newcastle Reservoir and went fishing. Mylee caught the first fish. It was a lot of fun.

Nancy's Baby Blessing

Yes i know i am bad at blogging...here are some updates. We blessed Nancy on May's Fast Sunday. Jon was EXTREMELY nervous but did an AWESOME job. I am so proud of him. Nancy looked so beautiful. Her dress, booties, and bonnet was made by my Aunt Patsy who put many hours into making it.

here are a few more pics of the little one.....jonny is still out of town and wont be back until a week from tomorrow. Mylee is still loving her baby sister and cant get enough kisses. I am doing good...dreading going back to work. I am beginning to get very impatient on misty having her baby. She was dilated to a 4 when she went to her appointment wednesday so we all are just waiting...cant wait to finally see the little girl.

Our New Little Nancy Joan Platt

Finally she is here. After waiting not so patiently ALL day Friday, Friday Night, and Saturday Morning, I finally got the call to come to the hospital. We arrived at 10:00 am Saturday morning and they got me situated into my room. My nurse - who is the most AWESOME nurse anyone could have asked for - got me hooked up to my IV and got everything ready and made the phone call to my doctor telling him i was there and ready to go with whatever his orders were. He came and broke my water and we waited patiently for things to progress. We played a little bit of Farkle with Jon and Cozy arguing who was playing the "dumbest". But things progressed really fast. I got my epidural when i was to a six plus. They called my doctor. He was there within 5 - 10 minutes and came and checked me. He asked the nurse what i was to before he checked me and she told him and then he checked me and ask her how long ago it was that she checked me. She told him maybe 5 minutes ago and then he said i was to a 9 plus. He told her he would go get changed to get everything ready. Things weren't going good with the baby. Her heartbeat dropped down to 56 right after my epidural and they couldn't get it to go up. My nurse looked at me and said this baby is coming within the next 15 minutes no matter what as the NIC-U nurses came into my room preparing for the delivery. I felt sick inside. I didn't want an emergency c-section. I looked at Jon and the look on his face said it all. He was scared crapless. But i tried to keep positive. My doctor came back in the room and checked me and i was ready to go. I started pushing and before you know it, she was out. It was a little scary but she was healthy and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful baby than what we got. I had her at 4:37 pm. She weighed 6lb 15oz and was 19 1/2" long. She looks just like her big sister but with dark hair and lots of it. Mylee was bald until she was one. She is a good little baby and her big sister loves her to death and can't stop kissing her. We got home Sunday afternoon. Jon hung out with Mylee all day on Monday and left out of town Tuesday. We miss him and wished he was here. He didn't want to go but that's him for ya....willing to do anything to provide for us as a family and I am SO GRATEFUL for him and I LOVE HIM so much.

NEW BABY???!!!

So i had a doctor's appointment yesterday afternoon and was to a 3 and almost all the way thinned. He told me that he would be seeing me within the next day or 2. Well we just found out that Jon is leaving out of town for 2 to 3 weeks and so i called my doctor this morning to see if he would start me on Sunday if i hadn't had the baby yet. He called me back and said if i start you then it is going to be tonight. The hospital said they had a lot of people to work in over the weekend and that it would be best if i came tonight. So it is now 7 tonight and i am waiting for the hospital phone call to tell me there is a bed open for me to come down. I REALLY REALLY didn't want to be started cause i have just heard horror stories on how long the labor is, but it's either that or not have my husband there with me. So i am a little nervous. But my doctor has great confidence that once i am there and he breaks my water that i will go on my own. So we are praying that is what is going to happen. So hopefully the next time i post you will know if its a GIRL or a BOY!!!

Baby Coming ANYDAY!!

Well this is something that i really don't like to do but these ones of mylee are too cute to not post. I hate putting pregnant pictures of me publicly. I have 11 days left until i am due. I went to the doctor on Thursday and he told me that i would probably have the baby before my next appoint next Thursday so we are patiently waiting. I keep telling myself, Maybe it will come tonight. But its not happening. I am so EXCITED to find out if its a GIRL or BOY!! I hate Jon for not letting me find out but when its this close to having it, it's so much FUN not knowing. Don't tell Jon i said that or he won't EVER let me find out on any of them. Mylee is still insistent that it is a "sisters". That is what she calls it all the time. She says she is excited to hold the baby but we all know her WORLD is going to be ruined in her eyes....Hopefully this one isn't a daddy's kid like her or she wont know what to do having to share her daddy.
